"I recall driving Steve Jobs back from the airport along Highway 85. Steve had just returned from a visit to Oregon where he described a place as an apple orchard. It was actually part of a commune. Steve proposed the name Apple Computer. We both tried to think of more technical names, but couldn't come up with anything better. Apple was simply the best name we could think of.
