Shipping Sumo Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Shipping Sumo (“the Service”), you (“the User”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”). If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Service Overview
Shipping Sumo provides an online platform that enables users to create and purchase shipping labels, including Canada Post labels, using Shipping Sumo’s carrier accounts. The Service may be integrated with third-party e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce or allow manual order imports.
3. User Responsibilities
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information for all shipments, including sender and recipient details, as well as correct package weights and dimensions.
Compliance with Laws: You agree not to use the Service to ship any items that are illegal, restricted, hazardous, or prohibited by law or by the carrier (including but not limited to Canada Post’s prohibited items list).
Prohibited Activities: You may not use the Service for fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious purposes, or to violate the rights of others.
4. Use of Shipping Sumo Carrier Accounts
Label Creation: When you create shipping labels through Shipping Sumo, you are using Shipping Sumo’s carrier accounts. All shipments must comply with the carrier’s terms of service.
Liability for Shipments: You are solely responsible for the contents of your shipments and for any consequences arising from shipping items in violation of applicable laws or carrier policies.
Charges and Fees: You agree to pay all applicable fees for label creation and shipping services as displayed within the platform.
Postage Adjustments: If Canada Post determines that the actual weight, dimensions, or other shipment details differ from what you provided, and applies additional charges or adjustments, you agree that Shipping Sumo may charge your account for any such additional fees assessed after the fact.
5. Prohibited Shipments
You agree not to use Shipping Sumo to ship:
Illegal substances, counterfeit goods, or items prohibited by law
Hazardous or dangerous materials not permitted by the carrier
Firearms, explosives, or weapons
Perishable goods not properly packaged or permitted
Any other items listed as prohibited by Canada Post or other applicable carriers
6. Risk and Liability
User Responsibility: Shipping Sumo is not liable for lost, damaged, or delayed shipments. All claims for such issues must be directed to the carrier.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shipping Sumo, its affiliates, and its partners from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to shipping prohibited or illegal items, or providing incorrect shipment information.
Service Availability: Shipping Sumo does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.
7. Suspension and Termination
Shipping Sumo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms and Conditions or for suspected fraudulent or illegal activity.
8. Modifications to Terms
Shipping Sumo may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shipping Sumo operates.
