Please make sure to read the following reminders before filling out the form completely and correctly.
1) We advise that you request at least 20 days before your deadline. This gives us enough time to find you a reader and also gives you ample time to work on your fic.
2) Be detailed in providing information. Incomplete forms are more likely to lead to delays. If you want to be paired more quickly, fill out the form completely and correctly.
3) Make sure to submit the correct working usernames, your DMs/bsky chats are open, and your email is working.
4)The forms cannot be edited. You'll have to DM/email us if you wish to change/correct your responses.
5) 1 FIC = 1 FORM. If you have multiple fics, you have to fill out a form for each of your fics.

6) Your information will be kept hidden until the completion of the pairing process. We don't easily give your contact information to any beta readers without receiving confirmation that your potential reader will work with you.
7) Understand that being paired with your writer/reader will take a minimum of two weeks and any follow-up messages sent within two weeks of form submission will not be answered. The number of writer requests are usually twice the number of reader sign-ups we receive weekly. We sincerely ask for your patience.
8) Remember, you're doing this for the love of the craft and for the love of the boys. We ask that you to be nice, polite, and respectful to your readers.
9) If by chance you encounter difficulties with your paired reader, please, please, reach out to us.
10) We understand that schedules may change, and you might need to take a break; hence, we encourage you to reach out to us if you think you can no longer be available as a reader or if you can no longer commit to your paired reader. The services has always been understanding and accommodating, we ask that you communicate with us.

11) Fics are pitched as soon as we receive them. Readers are given 48 hours to respond before we offer it to another reader. Take note that the deadline for the fic (whether your target publishing, posting, or final revision) should be at least 20 days before this signup.
12) We strongly discourage making requests to very, very urgent fics (anything less than 15-20 days before your deadline).
13) We will pair you by this order: urgency, type of fic, rating/nsfw, ship, trope, restrictions/warnings, word count, help needed, and word count. The timezone and mode of contact are the last things we consider. All pairings are done through email. However, you're encouraged to communicate through other social media platforms with your beta reader once you're paired.
14) A reminder that absolutely no use of Gen AI is allowed for any part of the writing process by writers who are requesting readers through the services. This includes brainstorming, plotting, grammar checks, etc. Any writer having been found to violate this will be banned from requesting readers through the beta services.

Ratings are defined as follows:
Gen. Audiences - safe for work content and suitable for all audiences of all ages. There's implied kissing and all forms of romantic tactility but not detailed. No cursing, violence, thriller, horror, sexual content and any dark themes. Think of G/PG movie ratings.
Teen and Up - safe for work content but allows minor cursing, non graphic violence, bits of thriller and horror for the theme. Works should be acceptable to ages 13 - 17. Kissing and forms of romantic and sexual tactility are allowed but not detailed. Think of PG-13 movie ratings.
Mature - adult themes and content. Graphic violence, horror, thriller and cursing are allowed in this rating. It contains sexual content but not described in detail. If there's no sexual content but themes of the fic is dark and almost too sensitive for readers, it falls under this rating. Think of R movie ratings.
Explicit - also referred to NSFW. This is only suitable for adults or 18+. Graphic violence, horror, thriller, adult themes, and cursing are found here. Detailed/explicit sexual content. Porn without plot. Dark themes. Dead dove themes. Think of NC-17 movie ratings.
For NSFW fics:
Vanilla work/sex - sexual activity that is considered ordinary, conventional or traditional. No other adventurous elements found in the fic. It focuses on standard penetration, kissing, and basic foreplay, without incorporating any specific fetishes or unusual practices that are found in BDSM, or fics with hard kinks.
Hard kinks/BDSM - sexual activity outside vanilla sex. Fics tagged porn without plot should be found in here.

Before you go
Crediting your beta reader.
As beta readers ourselves, we're not very strict and specific with this one. It must be luck that the writers we've worked with had the initiative to ask whether they could add our socials in their fics as signs of gratitude. But we've seen writers who won't return all the voluntary help they receive from beta readers. It saddens us, especially since one of the reasons we're slowly losing beta readers in the community is the lack of gratitude from our writers. Don't ignore the fact that the first fan your fic may ever have (aside from close moots/friends, of course) is your beta reader.
Now, it may be new to you or you might think it doesn't necessarily matter but we sincerely encourage writers to credit their beta reader. Credit them, if the beta reader worked with you until the moment you are about to submit/post/publish the fic. Credit them, if your beta reader offered their assistance and you two made it to the fic's completion without hurdles. Credit them, if they agreed to help you with your other craft, saving you time to send requests to the services. we encourage you to thank your beta reader by attaching it in your Author's Note and tagging them in your posts. Not only is it right and respectful, it helps establish a strong partnership and even structure the fanfic community.
Understand that this is not mandatory but giving proper credit is always a great motivation to beta readers. This is also a great way to keep the fanfic community alive.
If you don't know whether to credit or tag your beta reader(s), please ask them. Communicate with them and inquire if mentioning their name would make them comfortable or if would they prefer to stay anonymous. Either way, most beta readers in the services would love to be given credit. So please, if your collaboration is a fruitful one and your fic made it until the very last period and is ready to be shared with your readers and the community, make sure to practice common courtesy.
(And also thank them still, even if you ended up keeping the fic in your drive and it remained there. The time you two worked together should also be given credit for.)
