The district attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of crimes in the State of San Andreas (all criminal work)

Public defenders represent those who have been charged with crimes, but do not have their own private lawyer (all criminal work)

Clerks are responsible for communicating with lawyers and judges, scheduling cases, responding to emails, and ensure the smooth operation of the whole DOJ

City Attorney represents departments and the city when sued. Can think of as the lawyer for LSPD, SAFD, BCSO, the government, and individuals in those departments who were acting in their official capacities.
