This course is a professional-level training in end-of-life ceremony design and delivery. It's best suited for those with some prior experience officiating or organizing ceremonies, or those with related experience (e.g. death doulas, grief professionals, performers, writers, ritual leaders, public speakers).
Please answer the following five questions honestly and thoroughly — they help ensure the course is a good match for your goals and background.
Tell me about any experience you have officiating.

What role did you play? What kind of event? If you haven't officiated before, tell me about other experiences creating meaningful gatherings, milestone/ritual events, or guiding groups through transitions.
This course requires time, reflection, and a significant amount of writing. Why are you drawn to this training at this point in your life? What do you hope to do with these skills after the course?
As a Humanist, I embrace our LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, those with disabilities, and others who’ve been historically marginalized. Will you bring a commitment to equality, integrity, and human dignity into your celebrant work? Please answer in a few sentences.
Is there anything else you'd like me to know about your background, learning style, or goals for this course? If you have concerns about time, writing, or past experience, feel free to name them here so I can address them.
I understand that this course involves live attendance, regular writing, and a final ceremony project. I’m prepared to commit time and focus for the six-week training.
