Welcome to Amsterdam!
Introduction
If you're anything like I was when I first moved, you're filled with excitement and also some trepidation. I knew very little Dutch and was all on my own, and I was surprised by how difficult basic tasks were, like navigating, grocery shopping, and even using the transit system.
Now that I've established myself in the city, and done all the hard work, I'm excited to be able to assist you on your journey. Let me take some of the stress out of your daily, and act as a liaison between you and this new place you've landed in.

"Where can I buy groceries? What are department stores called? Where can I buy medicine, or fill a prescription? How do I pay for and ride the tram?" These are all questions I can help you answer!

How it works
Fill out this form with the neighborhood you're interested in and the kind of information you need. Then, choose your package: I offer in-person tours, where we meet up and walk, bike, or transit to some main points on your personalized tour. I aim for two hours with these, and I'll show you how to navigate the local transit system, walk in with you to any places you'd like - such as grocery stores, clinics, cafes, etc. - and answer any questions you may have along the way.
If a tour isn't what you're after, than I also offer a digital breakdown (.pdf format) of the places in your neighborhood I think you'll find helpful based on your needs and interests. I'll bullet-point information like where your local resources are, my suggestions on how to get there and back, and any details you might overlook based on my own experiences when I first emigrated here.
Once I receive your inquiry, I'll reach back out to you and we can hash through the details: your main sticking points, your biggest interests, and coordination of the tour, digital or in-person.
Please note if you require sliding scale pricing, fill out the form as usual and mention so in the Additional Information section.
