You are not lazy. Nobody would accuse you of that. You show up, you try, you keep going when others stop. And somewhere underneath all that effort, there's a quiet question you don't say out loud:
Why doesn't it feel like enough?
I know what it's like to treat exhaustion as evidence of devotion — to believe that the more it costs, the more it must mean something to God. It's a convincing trap because it looks so much like faithfulness from the outside.
But the wheel doesn't stop. And Jesus never asked you to get on it.
What He actually said was — come to me, and I will give you rest. Not "push through until you earn it." Just come.
The restlessness you feel at the end of a long week isn't a sign you need to do more. It's a sign that doing more was never going to get you there.
