After taking few breaths, your blurred vision clears and you take in whatever this... place... is. 'Place' feels generous, though, as it seems featureless apart from the impossibly bright light that surrounds everything.

While you have hard time recollecting what you were doing moments ago, you are certain that this bizarre place has little to do with it. Suddenly, a voice booms...

"Ah, another one. Welcome, visitor!"

Surprised by the sound, you quickly scan your surroundings for the speaker, only to see no one.

"Oh don't bother, I doubt your eyes can perceive me."

The voice seems to envelop you, coming from all directions at once with clarity.

"So what brings you to my dimensional domain? I cannot quite judge from your attire what it might be. Failed experiment of sorts? Perhaps it was magic? Or maybe... fate?"

With a flash, the colors of your surroundings change. Disoriented once again, you look all around you and notice an open book floating in the air.

"Please. Write your name on the first page, visitor."

A pen materializes in you hand as he says the words.

For the first time in what feels like an eternity, silence falls onto the room, though not exactly at the time you want it to happen.

You raise your voice.

"Hmm, you are at the crossroads between worlds. We get many arrivals here. Some people die and reincarnate while others get caught up in summoning rituals."

The voice says and then continues.

"But where we are right now is not important. You should be thinking about where you are going instead. I hear the place is quite tropical, and they happen to love gambling, so if you have any valuables with you from you previous world, it would be a good idea to hold on to them. You might be able to use them in a bet and win big."

Before you can say another word, the voice somehow snaps it's fingers, and your vision goes white.

Your surroundings change once again.

You are now on a nice sunny beach, greeted by a strange person, who is seemingly very drunk.

You ask the local drunk where you are, but all you hear for an answer is some mumbles, and then they point towards a casino-like building in the distance. You leave the weird creature behind and approach the casino-like structure. When you get to the entrance, two burly men in black suits stop you and say,

"You look new. Welcome to the casino. The entrance fee is 30€."
