Introduction
Choosing legal representation is one of the most consequential decisions an individual or business can make when faced with legal matters. Your choice of attorney can significantly influence both the process and the outcome of your case. Commitment to Candor
The cornerstone of our attorney-client relationship is candor. Transparency, honesty, and open communication are essential not only at the outset but throughout the duration of our representation. We expect that you will be forthright with us in sharing information and concerns, just as we will be candid with you in providing legal advice, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations. The purpose of this agreement is to outline the terms and conditions under which you engage MY TICKET GONE and retain DEFINED LAW, PLLC to provide legal services. This agreement clarifies the scope of our work, the responsibilities of all parties, and the financial arrangements for payment of our services.

The Parties
___ ___ ("Client") engages DEFINED LAW, PLLC to provide legal services as described in this Engagement Agreement. These terms, together with the Standard Terms of Engagement incorporated herein, constitute the entirety of the agreement between Client and Firm. By signing this agreement, the Client acknowledges having read and understood these terms, and accepts the obligations and expectations contained herein.

Scope of Engagement
During the term of this engagement, DEFINED LAW, PLLC will provide legal services specifically related to:
- Court appearances for arraignment; and
- One or more pre-trial conferences, as ordered by the court, for the misdemeanor violation.

This scope may be expanded or modified by mutual written agreement. It is important to note that trial representation is excluded from this engagement unless specifically added later in writing. Trial preparation and appearance require substantial additional time, preparation, and resources, and therefore would be subject to a separate fee arrangement.

Designation of Responsible Attorney

Attorney JAMIL MOURAD will be your principal point of contact and will oversee the attorney-client relationship on behalf of DEFINED LAW, PLLC. Attorney Mourad is responsible for ensuring that your case receives appropriate attention and that communications remain timely and effective. Our office policy is to respond to communications—including emails, voicemails, and faxes—promptly, typically within one business day when possible. However, because legal matters can require careful thought and research, certain inquiries may require additional time to address thoroughly. In all instances, we will make every reasonable effort to keep you informed.

Payment of Fees

As consideration for the legal services described, the Client agrees to compensate DEFINED LAW, PLLC in accordance with the fee arrangement outlined below.

Legal Fees

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, services will be provided for a minimum flat fee of $___ , which applies specifically to the Scope of Engagement described above. This fee is considered fully earned upon execution of this Agreement. The Client acknowledges and agrees that the fee is non-refundable under all circumstances. The flat-fee arrangement reflects both the anticipated time commitment of counsel and the reservation of availability required to adequately represent the Client in this matter.

Additional Costs and Expenses
In addition to legal fees, the Client may be responsible for court costs, filing fees, service of process fees, transcript charges, and other litigation-related expenses. Where such costs are foreseeable, we will endeavor to advise you in advance. Payment of these costs remains the responsibility of the Client and may be required before such expenses are incurred.

Termination of Engagement
The Client may terminate this engagement at any time by providing advance written notice. Similarly, DEFINED LAW, PLLC may withdraw from representation when permitted under the Rules of Professional Conduct ("RPCs") and applicable court rules, by providing written notice. Grounds for withdrawal may include, but are not limited to, the Client’s failure to make timely payments, the Client’s request for actions inconsistent with our ethical obligations, or the breakdown of the attorney-client relationship such that continued representation would be unreasonably difficult.

If termination occurs, whether initiated by the Client or the Firm, the Client remains liable for any unpaid fees and expenses. In the event of withdrawal, DEFINED LAW, PLLC may require payment of outstanding balances and additional fees in advance for work related to transferring matters to new counsel. We will, however, take reasonable steps to protect your interests during the transition.

Future Services

Ordinarily, our attorney-client relationship concludes upon the completion of the services described in the Scope of Engagement. However, the provisions of this Agreement will also apply to future matters if we mutually agree in writing to extend or expand the representation. Such future matters may include, for example, negotiating a plea agreement, filing pretrial motions, or appearing at trial. Each new or expanded engagement may require additional fees, which will be communicated to you clearly and in writing before work commences.

Client Responsibilities

As part of this engagement, the Client agrees to cooperate fully with counsel, to be truthful and forthcoming with information, and to respond to communications in a timely manner. The success of our representation depends heavily on the Client’s participation and candor. The Client also agrees to maintain current contact information with the Firm, including providing notice of any changes to mailing address, email address, or phone number.

Acceptance of Engagement

If this Engagement Agreement accurately reflects your understanding of the terms of our representation, please sign and return it to us promptly. Your signature will confirm your agreement to the terms stated herein. DEFINED LAW, PLLC welcomes the opportunity to serve as your attorneys, and we look forward to working with you to resolve your legal matter effectively and efficiently.
